File Uploads in Forms

Add a file upload field to your form so respondents can attach documents, images, or other files with their submission.

  • Required permission: forms:create
  • You should know how to build a form first

Go to Create → Forms and click on the form you want to edit.

Drag the File Upload field type from the panel into your form.

Click on the field to open its settings:

  • Label — name the field so respondents know what to upload (“Resume,” “Abstract,” “Project Photo”)
  • Required — toggle on if they must attach a file
  • Help text — tell them what format or size you expect

Click Save.

  • Files are stored securely. Only organizers with the right permissions can access uploaded files.
  • You can download uploaded files when reviewing responses.
  • Large files take longer to upload. If respondents are on slow connections, keep file requirements reasonable.
  • Need to collect multiple files? Add more than one File Upload field, each with a clear label.
