Setting Up Judge Applications
Section titled “Setting Up Judge Applications”Let judges sign up on their own through a public application form instead of entering them manually.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- You need Admin or Owner role
- Required permission:
judges:manage - You should have categories set up so applicants can pick one
1. Open the Applications tab
Section titled “1. Open the Applications tab”Navigate to Judging → Add Judges in the sidebar. Click the Applications tab.
2. Enable the application form
Section titled “2. Enable the application form”Turn on Enable Applications. This creates a public link anyone can use to apply as a judge for your faire.
3. Customize the form
Section titled “3. Customize the form”Choose which fields applicants fill out. Name and email are always required. You can also ask for phone number, organization name, category preference, and division preference.
Add a welcome message at the top if you want to give applicants context or instructions.
4. Copy the application link
Section titled “4. Copy the application link”Click Copy Link to grab the public URL. Send it out however works for you — email, social media, your school’s website, a group chat.
5. Share via QR code
Section titled “5. Share via QR code”Click QR Code to generate a scannable code. This is handy for printed flyers, info tables at events, or slide decks.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Applications don’t create judges automatically. Each submission goes to a review queue where you approve or reject it. See Reviewing Applications.
- You can disable the form at any time by toggling Enable Applications back off. The link stops working immediately.
- Applicants see a confirmation message after submitting. They won’t know whether they’re approved until you act on it.
