Setting Up Divisions
Section titled “Setting Up Divisions”Divisions separate participants by level. Most faires use two — “Junior” and “Senior” — but you can create as many as you need.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- You need Admin or Owner role
- Required permission:

1. Open the Divisions page
Section titled “1. Open the Divisions page”Go to Structure → Divisions in the sidebar. Any existing divisions show up here.
2. Add a division
Section titled “2. Add a division”Click Add Division. You’ll see two fields:
- Name (required) — the division label, like “Junior” or “Senior”
- Description (optional) — extra detail about who belongs in this division. Supports markdown.
3. Save the division
Section titled “3. Save the division”Click Save. The division appears in your list right away.
4. Add more divisions as needed
Section titled “4. Add more divisions as needed”Repeat for each level your faire uses. Two is typical, but there’s no limit.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Divisions come into play when assigning judges and setting up rubrics. Get them in place early.
- The description field supports markdown, so you can add formatting, links, or lists if you need to spell out eligibility rules.
- You can rename a division at any time. The change applies everywhere it’s referenced.
- Deleting a division removes it from any judge assignments and rubric configurations that use it.
