Setting Up Divisions

Divisions separate participants by level. Most faires use two — “Junior” and “Senior” — but you can create as many as you need.

  • You need Admin or Owner role
  • Required permission: judges:manage

Go to StructureDivisions in the sidebar. Any existing divisions show up here.

Click Add Division. You’ll see two fields:

  • Name (required) — the division label, like “Junior” or “Senior”
  • Description (optional) — extra detail about who belongs in this division. Supports markdown.

Click Save. The division appears in your list right away.

Repeat for each level your faire uses. Two is typical, but there’s no limit.

  • Divisions come into play when assigning judges and setting up rubrics. Get them in place early.
  • The description field supports markdown, so you can add formatting, links, or lists if you need to spell out eligibility rules.
  • You can rename a division at any time. The change applies everywhere it’s referenced.
  • Deleting a division removes it from any judge assignments and rubric configurations that use it.
